Per 1 juli 2026 treden belangrijke wijzigingen in werking in Verordening (EG) nr. 2073/2005, gericht op microbiologische criteria voor levensmiddelen, met specifieke aandacht voor Listeria monocytogenes. De wijzigingen zijn ingegeven door de stijging van listeriosegevallen in de EU in de periode tussen 2021 en 2022. Deze wijzigingen worden aangekondigd in Verordening (EU) 2024/2895
